Ukay-ukay is bargain shopping a kind of hunting really …usually for dresses and accessories that is. And the ukay-ukay craze is also in Tagaytay City. It is one of the favored activities of visitors in this city. The thrill of finding a cool item for a meager sum gives excitement for most Filipinos especially women, fashionistas or not. The Olivarez Plaza is the usual ukay-ukay hub in Tagaytay, there are a lot of big ukay-ukay shops there and they have lots of items to choose from. From everyday clothes to gowns to baby dresses to sportswear to bags and shoes…and I personally find it surprising that there are actually people who buy underwear from ukay-ukay shops. They also have separate areas for Class A items or designer items. And if they have a separate area for these designer clothes, they also have a space for super bargain things, usually located at the back part of the shop where you can find clothes worth P20.00 and below.
